Nvidia RTX 50 Super Cards Could Fix VRAM Problems
extremetech.comNew rumors for Nvidia's RTX 50 Super refresh suggest that the upgraded RTX 5070, 5070 Ti, and 5080 will have more VRAM than their non-super counterparts, fixing one of the most glaring issues of this generation of GPUs. It could bring more CUDA cores, too, but buyers will need to make do with additional power requirements.
Nvidia's RTX 50 series launch in 2025 was a real mixed bag. Although the top cards showed incredible performance, there were issues of missing hardware and long-term drive problems. Nvidia also took a lot of heat for not equipping them with enough VRAM. While the 8GB versions of the 5060 Ti and 5060 received the most criticism, the 16GB on the 5070 Ti and 5080 also drew the ire of gamers and reviewers, as well as the 12GB on the RTX 5070.
