Nvidia Extends Windows 10 Driver Support to 2026
extremetech.comNvidia has released a new GeForce Game Ready Driver update that brings expanded support for Windows 10, with updates for older and newer GPU users. One of the most essential facets of this update is that GeForce RTX GPUs running on Windows 10 will now get Game Ready Driver updates through October 2026. Nvidia says this extra time ensures users continue to receive optimizations for new game releases and software patches.
Nvidia is also giving older GPUs, including those based on the Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta architectures, a longer support period. These GPUs will receive quarterly security updates until October 2028. However, Nvidia has confirmed that CUDA support for these older cards will end with the next update to the CUDA Toolkit.
