Nintendo Bumps Up Prices for Original Switch Consoles

Nintendo has announced a big North American price hike for its original Switch handheld gaming consoles, starting August 3, 2025. According to the company, these adjustments are based on market conditions.

The new prices mean

• The standard Nintendo Switch will cost $339.99 from $299.99—a $40 hike.

• The Switch OLED Model will be $50 pricier at $399.99 (previously $349.99)

• The Switch Lite will rise from $199.99 to $229.99—a $30 jump.

Nintendo has also increased the prices on Alarmo, its branded alarm clock, and the Joy-Con 2s and Switch 2 Pro Controller. The cost of the Nintendo Switch 2, game titles for both current and previous versions, and Nintendo Switch Online memberships will stay the same.
