NASA May Bring ISS Astronaut Home Early Due to Undisclosed 'Medical Situation'


NASA postponed a planned spacewalk on the International Space Station on Wednesday due to an ongoing "medical concern" involving one of the station's crew members. There's now a very real possibility that a portion of the ISS crew currently manning the station will need to return home early, marking the first emergency evacuation in the space station's history.

"Safely conducting our missions is our highest priority, and we are actively evaluating all options, including the possibility of an earlier end to Crew-11's mission," NASA said in a brief statement. "These are the situations NASA and our partners train for and prepare to execute safely. We will provide further updates within the next 24 hours."
