Microsoft Under Pressure To Extend Windows 10 Support As Petition Gains Traction
hothardware.comThe end of Windows 10 is only two weeks away, but many users aren’t ready or able to make the move to Windows 11. This has led to lobbying from groups such as Consumer Reports and the Euroconsumers Group for a longer extended support period for Windows 10. The pressure only continues to mount as PIRG (Public Interest Research Group) is also pushing for Microsoft to make this move.
To try and convince the company to keep free updates coming to Windows 10, PIRG delivered a letter signed by state and local elected officials, businesses, nonprofits, librarians, school officials and consumer advocacy organizations. Moreover, PIRG also included a petition signed by 16,334 citizens.
