Microsoft’s Windows 11 Build 28000 introduces version 26H1, focused on next-gen ARM chip support and the new Bromine base, with no new features added.

Microsoft recently released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 28000 to users in the Canary Channel, marking the first public appearance of Windows 11 version 26H1. This update bumps up the OS version but doesn’t bring new features or interface changes.
Instead, Microsoft says it’s all about the hardware.
“26H1 is not a feature update for version 25H2 and only includes platform changes to support specific silicon. There is no action required from customers,” the company wrote in the official announcement.
That term, “specific silicon,” is tech talk for specific computer chips. Industry speculation strongly suggests this refers to the next wave of powerful, energy-efficient Arm-based processors, such as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite chips ...
