Meta Is Prepping a 'Hyperrealistic VR' Headset For Siggraph, and It's Huge

One model is said to be capable of "hyperrealistic VR," with more pixels per degree than almost any other headset and a sky-high brightness.
The only downside is that its field of view is terrible, and the headset itself is gigantic.
In the decade-plus since it acquired Oculus VR, Meta's major contribution to virtual reality hardware has been accessibility. It's brought the price down considerably and made inside-out tracking viable, with lightweight, easy-to-use headsets that aren't quite as good as PCVR standouts, but they do the job well enough.
