diginomica.comAnd here it comes again - that damn MIT study declaring that 95% of enterprises aren't seeing measurable returns from generative AI. This time it’s being bandied around by Boomi, where CEO Steve Lucas makes his own argument as to why this should be the case:
They're starting AI with no infrastructure, with no way to secure and monitor it.
Rather than building their AI explorations on strong foundations, too many CIOs are rushing into gen AI initiatives without a clear sense of direction, he contends. While some of the responsibility for high AI project failure rates can be attributed to digital leaders, Lucas suggests that other senior executives can also take some of the blame, namely CEOs who hear the hype surrounding the transformative power of AI and want to know why their organizations aren’t reaping the fabled rewards that others supposedly are!
