MacBook Neo Teardown Demonstrates Impressive Repairability


The new MacBook Neo is definitely something to keep an eye on, not only for its price but also for its relative repairability. The Australian YouTube channel Tech Re‑Nu opened the laptop in about six minutes using standard Torx drivers and found an impressively clean layout that makes each part easy to discern. The bottom case comes off after undoing eight screws, with no clips or hidden covers.

Inside, you'll find one of the most notable changes: the battery design. The pack attaches to the body with 18 screws and no glue or stretch‑release adhesive, so it lifts straight out once the screws come off, making it easy to replace.
