A federal jury found that Meta violated California privacy laws by eavesdropping and recording confidential communications without the consent of millions of consumers who used Flo Health's fertility app embedded with Meta' software development tools and tracking pixels.

The jury's decision centered on whether Meta intercepted and accessed Flo app users' intimate health data - including details about their menstruation cycles and pregnancies - without their consent or authorization through Meta software development tools such as Meta Pixel, which was used by the Flo app.
