Jensen Huang Deepfake Draws Nearly 8x the Views as the Real Nvidia GTC Stream
extremetech.comA fake livestream incorporating an AI-generated deepfake of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang performed better than the company’s official GTC 2025 keynote on YouTube, tricking tens of thousands of viewers into watching a cryptocurrency scam. The fraudulent broadcast, hosted by a channel called Offxbeatz under the name “NVIDIA LIVE,” appeared above Nvidia’s real feed in YouTube’s search results for a time, giving it more visibility.
Tech reporter Dylan Martin first flagged the fake stream on X, saying it featured an AI-generated version of Huang promoting a “crypto mass adoption event.” The video urged viewers to scan a QR code, which led to a website claiming to double any cryptocurrency sent to it. Transcripts show the fake Huang claiming Nvidia’s GPUs drive blockchain technologies like Ethereum and Solana—statements that are entirely false.
