I've Covered Internet Deals for Years: Here's Why Bundles Don't Always Make Sense

In an industry marked by confusing language and terms of service, navigating internet deals likely feels overwhelming as a home internet shopper. If you're not sure what to look for, you may find yourself signing up for the cheapest internet plan, only to find that the speeds are too slow or that your bill doubles after a year of service.

Your internet service provider likely offers other home services besides internet. It may do so in conveniently packaged bundles, likely an internet and TV or internet and mobile service bundle. These packages are a convenient way to sign up and pay for multiple services. While bundling has advantages and certainly may seem like a way to save some money, it shouldn’t be your default choice. Sometimes, it’s more practical or cost-effective to choose individual services from separate providers.
