Intel Arc Battlemage GPU Again Appears on Geekbench


Battlemage GPUs must be getting close to launch. Another Intel Arc B580 showed up on Geekbench only a couple of months after the first suspected B580 appeared. Pair that with Intel’s plan (back in January) to launch the discrete GPU line by the end of this year, and it’s beginning to look a lot like Chr- er, January 2025. We can hardly wait.

The Arc Battlemage B580 that showed up on Geekbench this time around rustled up an OpenCL Score of 78743, which isn’t reliable until further testing is done. The specs are more interesting than the score at this stage in the game: As before, the B580 shows up as an Intel Xe graphics card with 160 compute units and 2.85GHz maximum frequency. That’s a big step up from the Alchemist GPUs, which max out at 2.4GHz. The B580 has 12GB of memory ...
