I managed to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 - and it's easy to see why it's flying off shelves

While the Nintendo Switch 2 launched only a week ago, it's already set the record for being the fastest-selling Nintendo console ever. Today, the company shared that the latest 2-in-1 gaming system sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in its first four days. 

For reference, the original Nintendo Switch sold 2.74 million units in its first month, while Sony sold 4.4 million units of the PlayStation 5 in seven weeks, according to Daniel Ahmad, director of research and insights at Niko Partners.

Clearly, the successor to one of the most transformative consoles on the market is a big hit with consumers, even during a time of economic uncertainty with impending tariffs and ongoing trade talks. The question now is not necessarily how the sales figures of the Switch 2 will decrease ...
