Conducting interviews, doing research, or otherwise need to document a conversation? There are many reasons you may want to record a phone call, and with an iPhone, it's easier than ever.

As of Apple's iOS 18.1 update, released in late 2024, you can record phone calls directly on your iPhone. The Phone app's recording feature saves your audio in the Notes app alongside a transcription of the conversation, and it even provides an AI-generated summary of the call. (Summaries are part of Apple Intelligence, which is still in beta and requires a newer iPhone.)
