Google Will Sunset Dark Web Report in February 2026

Google is putting an end to Dark Web Report, the free tool that monitored the dark web for users' personal information. The company sent an email to active users on Monday confirming the timeline.

Dark Web Report will stop monitoring for new results on Jan. 15, 2026. On Feb. 16, the tool will become completely inaccessible, and Google will delete all related data. By then, Dark Web Report will be less than three years old, having rolled out to Google One subscribers before the broader user base.

While the Dark Web Report provided general information about whether users' emails surfaced on the dark web, user feedback suggested that people needed more than a simple notification.
