Google Play Store Adds Search Bar to Help Users Find Specific App Reviews
extremetech.comThe Google Play Store now lets users search through app reviews, making it easier to find opinions relevant to them. Though small, the feature could be useful for those who scroll through long lists of reviews in search of real experiences before installing an app or game.
The new search box appears on an app's "See all reviews" page. Like any search function, it lets users type in phrases to display only reviews about specific topics. Users need to enter at least two words for the search to work, and the Play Store then highlights the exact phrase within matching reviews.
Early coverage notes that Google displays some common search shortcuts next to the box, like queries about ads, frequent crashes, or in-app purchases.
