Google Brings Call Recording to Pixel in Select Regions

Google appears close to bringing call recording to newer Pixel models. According to an updated support document, Pixel 6 and later devices may now be able to record calls if they are in a region where it is legal.

This change comes after users requested the ability to record conversations for personal or professional reasons. Previously, Google said recording calls was impossible on Pixel phones, likely because the legality of call recording changes depending on a user's country or locale.

The recent update means Pixel users in approved countries can now find the recording option in the Google Phone app, though availability is not yet uniform.
