Google Beam will transform your video conferences into 3D


One of the biggest highlights at Google I/O a month ago was the announcement of Google Beam -- an AI-powered video communications solution that makes video calls feel three-dimensional and lifelike. Now, in collaboration with HP, the technology is here.

HP Dimension with Google Beam

On Wednesday at InfoComm 2025, an audiovisual trade show, HP unveiled HP Dimension with Google Beam. This system uses six cameras and "state-of-the-art" AI to create 3D videos of each participant. HP says the special light field display renders participant video that is realistic in size, depth, color, and even eye contact.

The experience requires no headsets, glasses, or wearables, with the sole requirement being the Google Beam solution, which comprises a 65-inch light-field display for true-to-life dimensions. The ...
