Getting over the housekeeping at Joseph Joseph with a supply chain overhaul

A slightly ironic statement of intent perhaps given it comes from houseware manufacturer Joseph Joseph where Chief Supply Chain Officer Sacha Vaughan has overhauled the firm’s approach to logistics to enable staff to focus on core activities and not things like data transfer between touchpoints in the supply chain:

That process should be controlled through technology, and we should use people for the exceptional situations, rather than the day-to-day tasks.

The overhaul takes place against a backdrop of volatile macro-economic and geo-political conditions, such as the coronavirus pandemic, Brexit, and the implementation of tariffs, that have created supply chain disruptions.
