Gemini Live Prepares to Add More App Extensions After Beta Teardown
extremetech.comRecently, Google has started to give users access to Gemini live app extensions for Maps, Calendar, Keep, and Tasks, letting people use these services directly within their chat with Gemini Live. This rollout is happening gradually, and not everyone has access yet.
An APK teardown of a recent beta version of the Google Android app has shown that Google is preparing to add quite a few more app extensions to Gemini Live. These include options already available in standard Gemini, such as those for Spotify and YouTube Music.
If you don't already know, an APK teardown is when someone examines the code inside an Android app's installation file (APK) to find hints about upcoming features or changes that aren't available to everyone yet. This helps predict what might be coming in future updates, but the features may never actually be released.
