A teardown of Samsung's latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, offers a comprehensive look at its repairability and heat management. A video from PBKreviews shows that the phone uses a new four-layer cooling stack over the main chipset and memory, with graphite film, thermal pads, a graphite pad, and a vapor chamber; thermal paste ties everything together across the hottest components. This is a step ahead of Galaxy S25 Ultra, which relied more heavily on pads and graphite.

But even with this change, the company has managed to prioritize modular parts and repair-friendly design. The back glass comes off with heat and prying, revealing the wireless charging coil, NFC and UWB antennas, and a graphite film for heat distribution.
