eSIM-Only iPhone 17 Models Could Feature Up to 6.6% Bigger Battery: Leak

Apple's "Awe dropping" event is less than a day away, but that isn't stopping last-minute leaks about the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup. A fresh leak from ShrimpApplePro has revealed what are allegedly the real battery capacities for all four models:

• The standard iPhone 17 will reportedly come with a 3692mAh battery—a slight 3.6% increase over the iPhone 16.

• The iPhone 17 Air is said to have either a 3149mAh or 3036mAh cell, depending on whether it supports eSIM-only or a physical SIM tray. That's around a 50% decrease from the iPhone 16 Plus model's capacity, but the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be around 30% slimmer.

• The iPhone 17 Pro is listed as 4252mAh (eSIM only) or 3988mAh (for models with a SIM tray). That's around a 20% improvement compared to the iPhone 16 Pro.
