Black Friday starts early at Walmart – here's everything you need to know about its October sale

Not to be outdone by Amazon's recent announcement, Walmart has released the dates for its first holiday sale, officially kicking off the 2025 Black Friday shopping season. Walmart's Deals sale begins on October 7, a date which coincides with Amazon's October Prime Day sale.

While it might seem like October is too early for Black Friday deals, in recent years, retailers have started their sales earlier and earlier, stretching out the holiday shopping event and allowing consumers to get a head start on their Christmas shopping.
