Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is finally here. This sales event, also known as October Prime Day, will run from Oct. 7-8, providing major discounts on smartphones, laptops, TVs, and other electronics. But Amazon won't be the only retailer offering bargains: Best Buy is expected to hold its own 48-hour Flash Sale during those same days, as it has in the past. 

It'll be a great time to get ahead of holiday shopping before the chaos of Black Friday.
