Apple Reportedly Working on AirTag-Sized AI Pin With 2 Cameras, No Screen
extremetech.comApple is said to be working on an AI-equipped wearable pin that could launch in 2027 with a projected 20 million units, The Information reported Wednesday. The device takes the form of a circular disc about the size of an AirTag but slightly thicker, with an aluminum-and-glass shell that clips onto clothing.
Per The Information's sources, the AI pin has two cameras: one standard lens and one wide-angle lens. It also contains three microphones and a speaker. The device has a physical control button on the edge and is powered via magnetic inductive wireless charging, similar to the Apple Watch. It does not have a display and relies entirely on voice interactions with Siri.
