AIM Strix Halo Gaming Laptop With Ryzen AI Max+ Shoots For A Sub-$1K Price


A new name in the laptop space, AIM, is 'AIM'-ing both high and low. That is, high in ambition, and low in price. You see, the company has announced plans to release a gaming laptop powered by AMD's top-of-the-line Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor for under $1,000. That's notable not just because it's a still-rare appearance of AMD's "Strix Halo" silicon in a laptop, but because every other device with this chip so far has come with a luxury-tier price tag.

The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 is AMD's halo-tier mobile APU, boasting 16 full-fat desktop Zen 5 CPU cores and a 40-CU RDNA 3.5 integrated GPU—officially branded the Radeon 8060S.
