Aikido Security purchased a code quality startup led by an Armenian serial entrepreneur to enable more natural and intuitive methods for code analysis and review.

The Ghent, Belgium-based startup said its acquisition of Trag was driven by the realization that AI has revolutionized code quality, making traditional pattern-matching systems obsolete, according to CEO Willem Delbare. Trag's approach allows rules to be written in plain language and evaluates code like a developer would, assessing logic, readability, and performance beyond just security flaws, Delbare said.
