AI supply chain symphony - getting your tools to speak the same language

Supply chain management is both data-intensive and labor-intensive—and that makes it a fertile space for AI innovation. The supply chain is ripe with the data on which AI thrives — it’s also a target-rich environment for intelligent technologies capable of accelerating, automating, and streamlining business operations.

But while the supply chain is a great place to build and deploy AI, we need to acknowledge two key challenges.

• First, the supply chain landscape is highly fragmented — the industry has grown up around siloed applications that target different aspects of the supply chain and use and generate data in different ways.
• Second, the underlying data is also highly fragmented. The supply chain is full of data silos and operational silos that shape how data is interpreted, utilized, and sometimes corrupted as it flows through organizations.
